“The Great Rebellion” live on stage

Bennington- Join the Bennington Performing Arts center on November 11 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm for “The Great Rebellion.”
Although Bennington is best known for the Revolutionary War battle on the Walloomsac River, many more soldiers from Bennington fought and died in the Civil War.
This fictionalized account is based on historical letters written between the characters in the play during that time. Among the people discussed in their letters back and forth are Lt. Col. Newton Stone, Capt. Ransom Gore, drummer boy Norman Puffer, and Capt. Hamilton L. Shields.
