Volleyball league gearing up for another summer season
WILMINGTON - For the past 35 summers, Michele Doucette has spent two evenings a week barefooted and playing in the sand by the Sitzmark. She plans to spend this summer the same way.
Doucette is a member of the Sitzmark Volleyball Southern Vermont Rec Volleyball League. The league, says Doucette, has been an important part of her experience of living in the valley. She joined upon moving to the area, and she said one of the gifts of being part of the league is the different people she’s gotten to build relationships with.
