Vermont Commissioner of Health Dr. Mark Levine

MONTPELIER- State health officials announced that US Food and Drug Administration had authorized a second COVID-19 vaccine booster dose at Tuesday’s press briefing, just minutes after the FDA’s decision.
“Shortly before this briefing we learned that the FDA have now authorized second booster shots of both Pfizer and Moderna for everyone 50 and older,” said Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine. “They also authorized an additional booster dose for people 12 years old and older who have certain immune deficiencies.”
