Readsboro school to get repairs, district nixes contact sports

READSBORO- Readsboro School will get HVAC repairs next month, and students in Southern Valley Unified Union School District won’t participate in contact sports this season, board members decided at a special meeting Tuesday evening. 
Windham Southwest Supervisory Union Facilities Manager James Walker announced that the district had received a grant that will pay the cost of repairs and improvements to the ventilation system at Readsboro School.  The grant will also pay for minor repairs at Halifax School.
