Murder charges filed in double homicide

JACKSONVILLE- Christopher Daniel Ellis, 54, of Whitingham, pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree aggravated murder in Windham Criminal Court Wednesday. He was ordered held without bail by Windham Criminal Court Judge John Treadwell.
The charges against Ellis stem from the shooting death of two Jacksonville residents last week. According to police, Ellis confessed to planning and carrying out the shootings in an interview following his arrest.
