Board appoints new member, new chair, hears about hate speech

DOVER - At its meeting on Tuesday, the Dover Selectboard appointed Scott Salway to fill a seat vacated by Josh Cohen in August, and named former vice chair Vicki Capitani chair of the board. Board member Sarah Shippee was named vice chair. In other matters, the board OK’d establishment of a new land records fund and heard from a representative from the Green Mountain Conservatives Group about the topic of hate speech and political slogans on roadways. And the board continued to experience tech issues related to its hybrid meeting model.
