Funny, fast-paced look at suffragists

VERMONT - Don’t miss Kathryn Blume, Sarah Mell, and Julia Sioss as they stop in southern Vermont this weekend to drum up new members for “The Suffragists Reenactment Society.”
Written by Mary Beth McNulty, this free, interactive show is a funny, fast-paced journey through the history of how women fought for and won the right to vote. The characters embody the determination of suffragists from Susan B. Anthony to Ida B. Wells while addressing the complex interplay of race and gender in the suffrage movement.
“The Suffragists Reenactment Society” will be performed at Bennington Performing Arts Center on Friday, October 22, and the Latchis Theatre Ballroom in Brattleboro, Saturday, October 23, both at 7:30 pm.
Admission is free. Tickets are recommended. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test and face coverings are required. Tickets are available at https://tickets.catamountarts.org/.
