BRATTLEBORO- Vincent Herring, one of the most highly regarded alto saxophonists involved in today’s jazz scene, will be performing with his working quartet in a tribute to jazz legend Charlie Parker at the Vermont Jazz Center at 8 pm on Saturday, October 24.
Herring will be supported by the same musicians with whom he recorded his most recent album, Bird at 100: Dave Kikoski, piano; Yasushi Nakamura, bass; andCarl Allen, drums. The 70-minute concert will be followed by a short break and then a round-table discussion with the quartet.
