10 years ago:
The Vermont Senate approved a bill that would provide incentives for school districts to consolidate, to create K-12 districts with a minimum of 900 students.  The merged schools would also qualify for a merger support grant, intended to replace the state’s small schools grant. Elements of the bill were eventually incorporated into Act 46.
