Halifax trio is restoring town graveyards

HALIFAX - Halifax’s historic graveyards are getting a second chance at life.
Since last fall, Andrea Rand, her husband Gary, and Linda Swanson have been cleaning and repairing the town’s oldest burial grounds. They have been doing it mostly on a volunteer basis, with a little funding from the cemetery commission.
“We’re making a difference, one stone at a time,” said Swanson.
