Campus gains new garden
Barbara Harris, Jeanne Mintrone, and Jane May Jones
WILMINGTON- When Walter M. Harris died in 2019, his wife, Barbara Harris, and daughter, Jane May Jones, knew they wanted to honor his memory with a special gift to the community.
The family has had great experiences as patients of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and SVMC Deerfield Valley Campus.
Jones and her mother, a talented gardener, decided to donate funds to create a garden at the newly renovated clinic in Wilmington. They encouraged family and friends to contribute funds for the purpose and recently gathered to dedicate the garden.
