Aging in Place: Vermont is an addictive experience

Claudette Hollenbeck

I am so fed up with humankind.  Everywhere I look these days are examples of man’s inhumanity to man.  I am so glad I live in Vermont.  Most of the folks one encounters day to day here are decent folk with whom I am comfortable. The Yankee stock that is the backbone of this “brave little state” are a rugged, self-sufficient breed, much less prone to whining and complaining.  I firmly believe that Vermont is an addictive experience.  So many people have had their own version of my own experience.
