Local students win prize


More than  600,000 students, ages 11 to 13, have participated in the worldwide Lions International Peace Poster Competition. This year’s theme was “Peace Through Service.” The Deerfield Valley Lions Club, local sponsors of the project, announced first prize and statewide winner is Islynn Crafts, of Dover. Sister Kiara Crafts won second prize. Cash prizes from local to international range from $25 to $5,000.
