BRATTLEBORO- The Tuareg silver artistry of Ahmed Ibrah Landi will be on display at C.X. Silver Gallery though March 8.

Landi is a renowned designer in Europe and West Africa.The Sahara was his childhood playground and now source of inspiration for his creations in silver. Pieces are crafted by hand, without molds, from pure silver, and accented with semi-precious stones in sensual bold mystical designs.

Landi, a jewelry designer from Bamako, Mali in West Africa, was born in Niger, son of a nomadic Tuareg family. He draws on Tuareg symbolism to make his innovative designs. Being an artist and craftsman, sets him apart in Tuareg society. He worked in secrecy for a period of time until he became established.
