He was born March 27, 1935, the son of Charles F. and Alice A. (Hescock) Joslin.
Mr. Joslin leaves his wife of 54 years, Jean M. (Garland) Joslin; his children, Kathy, Robert and his wife Yvonne, Daniel, and Kenneth; his grandchildren, Crystal and her husband Justin Robey, Robert Jr., Samantha, and Robin; and one great-grandchild, Peyton. He is also survived by his mother, Alice Joslin, of Glen Trailer Park; sister, Christine Forbes; uncle, Carroll Hescock; brother-in-law, Stuart Garland and wife, Rita; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Joyce Kaiser; and a brother, Lee Joslin.
Mr. Joslin loved driving his truck and meeting people. He started at the age of 17 driving for Raymond Robinson and then Skip Forbes, Junnie Whidden, and Joe Moore drawing logs to Cersosimo’s. When he got his own truck he hauled slabs for Smeed Lumber and other mills. He was known as the slab king. Then he worked for International Paper, logging for more than 20 years. He was known as “Timberwolf.” In later years he hauled gravel for Dailey’s and anyone else that needed him.
Burial will be in the spring, in the West Wardsboro Cemetery. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
