WARDSBORO- Robert Angell, world traveler and photographer, has taken his camera deep into an amazing part of southwest China that is usually not visited. It borders Vietnam and Thailand and is a photographer’s dream. One can find picturesque scenery, colorful people, ancient villages, beautiful flowing rivers and snowcapped mountains called Shangri-La, complete with a Buddhist Monastery.

Angell has targeted an area of China which is fascinating and beautiful, where it seems time has stood still. Through his photographic images, the colorful people and rural countryside, he offers a unique view of this remote part of China. Truly, it is a road less traveled.

For the past 27 years, Angell has traveled the seven continents in a spirit of adventure and learning. When he is not off on one of his world-wide adventures, he lives in Wilmington and can be found skiing on the slopes in Vermont.

Admission is free, the slide show takes place on Thursday, February 18, at 7 pm at the Wardsboro Town Hall on Main Street. The event is sponsored by the Wardsboro Public Library. For more information call (802) 896-6988.
