To the Editor;

As many of our townspeople know, we have a consignment store right in our town of Whitingham. With the economy as it is and struggling to make ends meet, the concept of a consignment store was embraced by this community.

The store owner, Tracy Lucier, now has over 100 consignors and this past summer expanded from her garage space to a larger area encompassing both the downstairs and upstairs space within her adjacent barn. The clothing offered is new and gently used items that are rotated based on seasons, and this is especially appreciated with the ongoing growth spurts of our children. With the additional space, she is able to offer a wide variety of sizes from infant clothing to plus sizes and, also, household items, gifts, homemade jewelry and crafts, and books.

The consignment store is a win/win scenario, rotating personal items and gaining some income, as well as spending less on purchases and helping to support your fellow neighbors. It is truly a valuable resource in our community! In this day and age, doesn’t it make sense to watch your pennies and shop locally?
