To the Editor:

Do you like to dance? Do you like great live music blending rock, blues, funk, and country? Do you appreciate talented, engaging musicians and hopeful lyrics? Do you want to celebrate New Year’s Eve in a positive environment free from drunk people stepping on your toes and spilling beer on your clothes? If so, check out the New Year’s Eve 2009 rock concert at Memorial Hall on Thursday December 31, from 8:30 pm to12:30 am. Doors open at 8 pm.

Sun Jones is a rockin’ band from Boston. They play great original music along with some timely and timeless covers. Dale and I have them come up every summer to play at our summer outdoor party and they’re always a big hit with our friends as well as our boys’ friends (high school and college age). This concert is a substance-free event and is open to anyone 15 years of age or older. Admission is a bargain at $5 for high school and college students and $10 for other adults. Think glow sticks and beach balls, plenty of seating, and lots of room to dance.

I am sponsoring the event because it fits well with my professional mission of providing natural and drug-free health care choices to the valley through my chiropractic practice. It is also sponsored by the Deerfield Valley Community Partnership, the Community Counseling Center, Mullen Financial Strategies, Chris Simpson, Joseph Cincotta, and Julie Lineberger. We would love a few more sponsors (individual/family, $50; small business, $100; corporate, $500)

Sponsors receive two VIP passes and an invitation to a meet-and-greet with the band. We are also looking for more door prizes, a great way to introduce your business or product to the valley and visitors.

If you can help out please contact me at (802) 464-0339. And please join us for a New Year’s Eve to remember.
