Featuring a cast of 40 local youths and several adults, this magical story was adapted from J.M. Barrie’s plays and books by Trevor Nunn and John Caird. Michael Wright and Heidi Fagan direct this production with beautiful costumes by professional costume designer Veda Crewe Joseph.
The admission price in advance is $10 and $8 for seniors, students, and children. Tickets will also be available at the Bellows Falls Opera House on performance days at $12 for general admission and $10 for seniors, students, and children.
The storyteller (Jeff Semprebon) weaves a tale familiar to many. Mr. and Mrs. Darling (Chuck Lessard and Veda Crewe Joseph) delight in their children, Wendy (Jaqi Lachapelle), John (Cameron Tollett), and Michael (Reilly Lessard). Left one night with only their faithful nurse Nana (Emily Jellie), the children are visited by Peter Pan (Cameron Stowell) and his fairy, Tinkerbell (Moira Stettner). Peter is from Neverland, where he is captain of the Lost Boys (Blaine Lessard, Sam Empey, Reed Chuda, Jacob Chesney, Mason Lantz, and Zachary Fagan).
The Lost Boys need a mother, and Peter convinces Wendy, John, and Michael to fly to Neverland. However, it is a dangerous place, full of Indians and their Princess Tiger Lily (Shelby Lynhall), mermaids, fairies, and most of all, pirates, led by the infamous Captain Jas. Hook (Chuck Lessard) and his sidekick Smee (Mike Delaney). Will Peter and the children escape Hook’s crew or will the crocodile come back for another taste of Captain Hook?
