Despite the rain the fourth Annual Taste of the Deerfield Valley was very well attended. Everyone was treated to a “taste” from over a dozen of the Deerfield Valley’s restaurants and crafts from local artisans. Mother Nature tried her best to put a damper on the event but she did not stop another successful, fun-filled day of what the Deerfield Valley has to offer. This event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the staff of the Celebrate the Valley Inc. and the many volunteers who were on hand during the event. We would like to thank all of the Rotary members; The Deerfield Valley News for pre- and post-coverage of the event; Bobby Edwards for his time and the use of TSN’s sound system; photographer Ellen O’Connor; “Fish” from WKVT; Jay McMahon, our roaming magician; Duncan Cable; our guest demo chefs; Alonzo Paige with the Jr. Iron Chefs; Jeff Collins; and the Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce. A very special thank you to Kelly Pawlak, Vinnie Lewis, Greg Fisher and all at Mount Snow for their help and support once again.

And to our sponsors, the Town of Dover/DEDC, WKVT, and g.housen, we thank you for your contributions and continued support for Celebrate the Valley and our events.

Celebrate the Valley donates a portion of the proceeds of all of its events to local charities. Proceeds from this year’s ”Taste” will go to the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, along with all of the food collected prior to and during the event.

Don’t miss the 23rd annual International Time Line event, presented by the Living History Association and Celebrate the Valley, on October 3 and 4 at the Matterhorn Inn. Go to our Web page www.celebratethevalley.com for more information.
