James Wallace holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in organ performance from Pacific Lutheran University and Westminster Choir College. Wallace is music director at The Putney School. He will perform on the church’s Estey pipe organ, Opus 300, built in 1906 and rebuilt in 1958.
The program will include both organ works and transcriptions, including compositions by Chuckerbutty, Bach, Thalben-Ball, Widor, Hollins, and Wagner. A free-will offering will be taken with all proceeds going to support the Emergency Overnight Shelter run by the Brattleboro Area Drop-In Center and First Baptist Church.
